Here are some of the photos I took in the Dive (charter) boat last week-end out of Lyme Regis. There were 5 divers from Eastleigh Club. Graham W, Pete S, Robbie A, Dave B, and myself (Pete A), plus Sally M, who just came along for the day (Sunday). We did 4 dives each over the week-end. A deep dive in the morning and a shallower dive in the afternoon. We did the “Landrail” at 35 mtrs, and a 20 mtrs. drift dive on Saturday, and the “Ursa” at 48 mtrs and the “Bay Gitano” at 17 mtrs on Sunday. The weather was good with a calm sea on both days, although it was a bit cold Sunday afternoon.

The best dive of the week-end to my mind was the “Ursa” which I dived with Graham, we got 10 mtrs visibility at 48 mtrs and although it was dark we saw the whole of the stern section, 4-bladed “prop” and the rudder and then swam through the aft accommodation and saw the Captains W.C and bath. We had 25 minutes approximately on the bottom and after several decompression stops ( the later stops on 50% Nitrox) we surfaced on 82 minutes. A long time “hanging on a line”, but at least we had some magazines to read !

I will probably organise some more week-end dives in Lyme Regis next year and will put the dates on the notice board.

Sally M. has managed to find somewhere dry to sit, but the weight box was a bit uncomfortable!
